About Me

Hello! My name is Elliot G. Dennis, and I am going to Kennesaw State University- Marietta Campus to get a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Certificate in Facility Management. In addition to going to school, I also have a variety of  theatrical and event venue maintenance and operation experience. Currently, I work full time at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre doing Facility Engineering. I enjoy working in performing arts and event venues as I love the performing arts and you get to see and hear some of the best performances out there from broadway musicals to classic rock concerts while working. Another thing I like about working in a performance venue is that you get to see the impact of your work on the guests! My interest in venue facility operation and maintenance started with my love of the arts as a child, developed when my father taught me basic mechanical skills, and blossomed when I started doing facility maintenance and operation at my highschool. Before working at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, I worked at the Fox Theatre as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. It was great to get to work all over a historic building, as there were some really cool places and historic equipment I got to see almost every day. While at the Fox I also handled a variety of special projects for the building such as documentation of systems, equipment inventory, database management, scheduling, etc.  I am also a crisis coordinator for Kennesaw State University to help with emergencies as I enjoy emergency management and fire safety equipment. While not working, I enjoy listening to older music, doing anything outdoors, working on my truck(Land Rover Defender 110), and helping with amateur radio communications for Atlanta track club events.
